Hugo Arana
Hello, my name is Hugo Arana, and I am the President and founder of LIA Connect, a pioneering website that integrates all service learning clubs at Lincoln International Academy. LIA Connect was created to centralize information about our diverse service clubs, providing students with interactive resources to help them discover and join clubs that align with their passions and values.

As President, I believe that our mission to foster a community of LIA clubs grounded in empathy, service, and inclusion is a shared responsibility. Through LIA Connect, we aim to inspire students to become active participants in making a positive impact on our communities. By showcasing the remarkable work of our service learning clubs, we empower students to engage with meaningful causes, collaborate with like-minded peers, and develop a deeper sense of responsibility.

Valeria Matto
As Vice President of this project, I intend to build a sense of unity to among my fellow LIA students. By connecting all the service clubs through one website, I hope to improve communication, making it easier for students to get involved and want to make a difference. I believe in the importance of fostering community engagement in service, especially since we live in Nicaragua, a country so poor yet filled with so much hope. This project is not just about making our lives easier, it’s about empowering us to work together and inspire positive change in our community.

As the treasurer for this project, I am dedicated to making the fundraising process as painless as possible for the clubs at Lincoln and to ensuring that Lia Connect runs smoothly. Our mission is to make community service as accessible as possible for the students at LIA so that they may make meaningful impacts on our community, build deeper bonds, and improve the lives of others. It is so much easier to approach service learning when one can find all the information they may ever need in one place, which is why I believe that LIA Connect is so important.
