The Hawk's Eye

The Hawk's Eye mission is to release weekly content to our online student newspaper, accurately capturing the spirit of our school and the student body that represents us, advocating for mental health, and  running actively on social media

Club Overview

Impact on Students

  • The Hawk’s Eye empowers students to become confident communicators, critical thinkers, and creative collaborators. By managing a student newspaper, they develop leadership, teamwork, and journalistic integrity. Writing about school life and mental health also strengthens their empathy and ability to express diverse perspectives responsibly.

Social Consequences in Nicaragua

  • In a country where youth voices often lack public platforms, The Hawk’s Eye represents a meaningful step toward freedom of expression and civic awareness. It encourages young people to discuss mental health and social issues openly, helping to challenge stigmas and promote dialogue within schools and the broader community.

Understanding Social Responsibility and Civic Engagement

  • Through journalism, students learn that sharing truthful information is a civic duty. They understand that their words can educate, unite, and inspire others, reinforcing the value of responsible communication in shaping a more conscious and connected society.

In Short

The Hawk’s Eye strengthens student voice, promotes awareness, and models the power of communication as a tool for change, cultivating engaged, thoughtful, and socially responsible young citizens in Nicaragua.
