Impact on Students

• Develops empathy and compassion: Students interact with burn victims and their families, providing support and gaining experience on the challenges burn victims may face. This builds empathy and compassion, allowing students to become more understanding, and supportive individuals.

• Promotes social responsibility: Through fundraising events, creating educational materials, and/or spending time with burn victims, students contribute to the well beings of others and encourages them to make positive impacts on their communities.

• Enhances communication and collaboration skills: Working together to organize events and activities fosters collaboration between students and can form connections that are essential to the future of students' personal and professional spheres.

Social Consequences in Nicaragua

• Raises awareness about Burn Prevention: Through its activities, the club allows students to act as Ambassadors for Burn Prevention Awareness. 

• Creates a more inclusive, supportive environment: By fostering camaraderie with burn victims students create a more inclusive environment for individuals who may otherwise feel ostracized.

• Contributes to APROQUEN's Mission: Assists Aproquen through fundraising efforts, awareness campaigns and by offering emotional support to burn victims and their families.

• Recognize their role in society: They discover that their actions can have a profound impact on others' lives, encouraging them to be active members of their community.

• Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills: Students work together to solve problems to help promote burn prevention, they collaborate on creating fundraising strategies and consider ethics in the process, developing real-world problem solving skills.
